Checks

  1. Identity verified from original documents
  2. Right to work in the UK checked and a copy kept, with the date of the check
  3. Professional registration and qualifications checked with the regulator (GMC, NMC, GDC, HCPC, GPhC)
  4. DBS check at the right level for the role, with the date and update service status
  5. Employment history with any gaps explained in writing
  6. References received, including from the most recent health or care employer
  7. Work health assessment completed
  8. Information required by Schedule 3 of the regulations on file
  9. Risk assessment recorded for anyone starting before all checks are back
  10. Induction completed and signed off
